Trinity Church, Mill Hill, London

Molyneux Architects have recently completed a refurbishment of the Trinity Church in Mill Hill, North London along with 20 residential units for Christian Action Housing Association.

The project involved extensive internal stripping, demolition, and remodelling of the 1930s church including the construction of a mezzanine floor through the centre of the building. PERFORMANCE windows and doors from Green Building Store were used extensively in the newbuild project and also were specified for a number of elements of the church refurbishment.

PERFORMANCE double glazed outward and inward opening windows were selected in a wide range of shapes – including ecclesiastical arches etc. A variety of PERFORMANCE single and double doors were also specified in the social housing project.

I was aware of 21° through the AECB and so knew that we shared a strong commitment to the green agenda. When specifying for the Trinity Church project, I was looking for windows & doors that ticked a number of boxes. With its Secured by Design accreditation and use of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) timber, PERFORMANCE did this. I considered the profiles and general design language to be appropriate for the project.

The windows & doors were installed in 2011 and the project was completed in January 2012.

We have been very happy with PERFORMANCE windows & doors and are impressed with the quality of the range. The window furniture is also really good. I would definitely specify 21° windows in the future and have already been in contact on a few projects since.
